Product Information

If you're renovating an old home or want to recreate a rustic look, then these unfilled and brushed travertine tiles could be what you are looking for. Their chiselled edge helps them look authentically old, but without the worry of an unstable base for any wall or floor.

You'll find the medium - light background colour, a welcome addition to any room.
Brushed simply means a semi-polished, semi-honed textured finish created by circular brushing motions. Chiselled edge refers to the edging that has been chipped deliberately to create an aged, antique look.

Pattern Information:

French Pattern: The tiles have a mixture of 4 different sizes in each pack. Please check stone layouts section for the layout information.

Installation & Care

All products listed here can be purchased from our online store (Adhesive, grout, sealers or maintenance items).

General Information for Tile & Stone:

  • Substrate should be clean, dry, level and should not move. Decoupling membranes are recommended for flooring applications if shift in substrate is expected.
  • Dimensions listed here are nominal as slight variations in size and thickness may occur with most stone & porcelain tiles.
  • Minor edge chipping may occur in handling, installation & transport. During installation process, these can be used as cuts.
  • Natural stone can vary in colour, tone, size (within tolerance). During installation, mixing the tiles naturally (blending) are recommended rather than using similar shades together.

Adhesive:
  • Flexible adhesive is recommended, particularly substrates with movement, or when underfloor heating is at present or planned in installations.
  • All tiles must be solidly bedded.
  • Standard set adhesive sets slowly (24 hours) whereas fast set adhesive sets within 3 hours (depending on weather conditions).

Grouting:

  • Apply grout at least 12 hours after the tile installation.
  • Select width joint accordingly to accommodate any variation in tile sizes.
  • We recommend the use of flexible grouts.
  • When mixing multiple sizes together (i.e. patterns) the grout joint may vary in width between the varying sizes of tiles within the pattern.

Sealing & Maintenance:

  • All natural stone tiles need sealing during installation; Generally we recommend to apply one coat before grouting and one coat after grouting.
  • Depending on usage of the floor, re-seal the tiles every 6-12 months.
  • Use maintenance products that are manufactured for natural stone. Do not use acidic cleaners.

Hi, Is it possible to see, buy and collect the tiles in person? I am interested in the premium travertine floor tiles. If so, where are you based please? Thanks Peter 07840671433

    • Stone Deals

Hello, we are a web based company so we do not have any stores that you can visit but you are able to collect tiles from our warehouse. These tiles are based in our Boston warehouse which is located in Lincolnshire. If you would like to make a collection order, please email us at info@stonedeals.co.uk with your order as well as a billing address and contact details so we may put together your order for you. We hope this is helpful.

Please can you let me know the size of the tile

    • Stone Deals

Hi, this pattern contains varied sizes of tile within each pack to create a pattern which we call the French Pattern. Each pack contains 1pc - 406x610mm, 2 pcs – 406x406mm, 1 pcs – 203x406mm, 2 pcs – 203x203mm. We hope this is helpful.

Hi. I have two questions. The first is that I am looking for a non-slip surface. Is the unfilled essentially non-slip? Or is there a better product? It is for a bathroom. My second question is could you please tell me the tile sizes in the French pattern? Thank you

    • Stone Deals

Good morning Thank you for your email The Brushed Unfilled chipped edge provides a non- slip surface, however Honed & Filled is more of a smooth surface with rectified edges. The difference between the two are the distinctive appearances of the tile and finish. They both can be used for a bathroom and have a less slippery surface then any polished finish tile. Regarding sizes including French Pattern packs, there are 4 sizes included. 1 406 x 610, 1 203 x 406, 2 406 x 406, 2 203 x 203. You can view the diagram layout of the pattern by scrolling to the bottom of our page to view the Essential guides section and Tile layout information. This will give you a break down of sizes included each pack, the m2 coverage and the diagram. We hope this was helpful Thank you

Hello, I need your help Can you explain filled v’s unfilled as the image looks filled to me.

    • Stone Deals

Good afternoon Jason Thank you for your interest in our products. The filled & honed finish is a smoother finish in which any holes that are within the top surface of the tiles will be filled using a filler and then machined to expose a matt smooth surface to the touch with a straight cut edge to the tiles. The brushed chiselled edge will have a rougher feel to the top surface with some indentations to the tile and a chiselled finish to the edges, the filling apparent on our photos is from grouting procedure on the finished installation of the chiselled finish stone. Hope this is helpful. If you have any other queries please contact us again and we will try our best to help.
