All installations either require adhesives, grouts, sealers (for all natural stone types) and of course maintenance products. And some require all of these. So what are they used for?
Adhesives:
Well, this one is quite straightforward, these are used to fix any tile to walls or floors. Ironically however, due to its stickier properties which hold the tiles in place more securely, it is the standard set adhesive that’s commonly used for wall applications as well as floor applications. The fast-set adhesives should only be used for floor applications.
Grouts:
Again another easy one, grouts are used simply to fill the gaps between the laid tiles for a neater look and protection, we only supply flexible grouts which we found to be suitable for all types of installations.
Sealers/colour intensifiers:
Sealers are mainly used on natural stones, we recommend a minimum of 2 coats, once before and once after the grouting process. Sealing is an ongoing maintenance procedure that should be repeated periodically with frequency depending on the amount of traffic your natural stones are exposed to. The thing to watch out for when ordering sealers is the type of finish they are designed for as polished finish and matt/honed finish stones do use a different sealer. We also have available a Satin sealer for matt/honed finish tiles, this item adds a little shine to your tiles, and multiple layers do increase shine intensity.
Tile cleaners:
