Travertine is a special metamorphic rock formed as a result of metamorphosis of lime with high temperature and water. Travertine has also been around & used for centuries. Biggest deposits of travertine are found in Turkey and other countries follow with smaller deposits. Their soft colours are mainly used in bathrooms, kitchen walls and floors. You can get tumbled, honed, filled, chiselled edge options where all of them can be used in a variety of applications and settings. Since this is softer material than others, a good care for an ongoing high quality floor is essential.
Slate floor tiles are also very popular in the world. They are durable, elegant with strong colours. Their durability means that they can be used as roof tiles!
